ROGER HENRY CHRISTIANSEN


On Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the age of 80, Lt. Col Roger H. Christiansen of Alexandria, VA died peacefully at the Halquist Inpatient Hospice Center in Arlington, VA. He was born in Oak Park, IL on September 5, 1933.

 

He graduated from Illinois Tech University and received his Masters in Electrical Engineering at the Air Force Institute of Technology.

 

He was the son of the late Henry Christiansen and the late Gudrun Pedersen. Survived by wife, Carol, four sons, two daughters, 15 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and brother, Warren of Winchester, TN.

 

His career included 25 years in the United States Air Force as a pilot, engineer, and decorated Vietnam Veteran in which he served his country faithfully. His secondary career was VP & GM at PRC of McLean. Roger loved playing golf and was an avid skier.

 

His inurnment with honors will be determined at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
