GUEST BOOK

October 19, 2006

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU....To Eugene B. Becquet, I've never meet you in my life, but I just wanted to thank you for serving our country with Pride & Dignity, until the end. You are an example for someone else to do the same one day. I served my country also, in the United States Army.

To your wife, may God give you the strength, to carry this load of loosing a loved one. Since my brother was murdered in August 10, 1986, I found healing through writing to people who have lost loved ones, as I did. It is a awful experience to deal with, but know that Jesus is with you. May you keep the memories of your loved one tatooed in your heart forever, he will give you strength, and you and your children are in my prayers.

When you are feeling down, take the time to read this:

"YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE"

When you walk through a storm hold your head up high and don't be afraid of the dark.

At the end of a storm is a golden sky, and the sweet silver song of a lark.

Walk on through the wind, walk on through the rain, tho' your dreams be tossed or blown.

Walk on, walk on with the hope in your heart, and you'll never walk alone,

for one day you will walk with your loved one again.

May God Bless You Always!!!!!!!!! *<((((>< If you need to talk email me at richarderma03@msn.com

Keep up the faith, God is with you. Erma Pinon, Tucson, Arizona

When I heard the news my mind was screaming with thoughts. Some of these I was able to catch and write down.

* Always welcoming with kind words and ever helpful when I was pulling my hair.

* Never did I lack for information when it was needed as you always had a link at the ready.

* You were always there with a good chuckle and understood my humour.

* Fond of server equipment for a home PC and ever challenging Mrs B.

* Always turning wrenches at home and on copters.

* You pulled me through my renos with those of your own.

* As an experienced Dad your guidance always came in handy.

* Your camping stories are something I am looking to experience myself.

* You are more than my friend you were family.

* One of the best guys I ever had a chance to encounter

* My only regret is we never had a chance to meet in person.

Bye my friend. You are missed and will always be remembered fondly and with a chuckle.

Sally if we can help in any way please let us know - you know where we are ;)

I met Gene (AKA RotorHead) through an online forum/comunity which he moderated. His knowledge, guidance and steadying presence were greatly appreciated by me. In the short time I knew him I came to respect and admire the way he carried himself. Thanks for the chance to let me share in your passion for Folding at Home and PC's Gene! Miss you RotorHead.

I have had the pleasure in working hand-in-hand with Gene, both at Hurlburt Field, FL and here in England. Gene was my supervisor for a couple of years and wrote my EPR's. Fives of course! :) My name was on the RH E-bay door of aircraft 70-1626, below Gene's as I was his assistant. This aircraft saved the lives of over 1600 people in Liberia Africa flying a consecutive 26 hours, unheard of for a helicopter, this was down to Gene's dedication on making the aircraft the best he could. I was proud to serve under him and proud to be his friend. A very nice guy! I was shocked when I read the news on pavelow and am still in awe. Geno always made time to socialize with everyone, whether on a long Italy trip or at home station. GREAT GUY! My thoughts are with his family.

Richard Thibert, Mildenhall England

October 25, 2006

I too worked with Gene as a crew chief at Hurlburt Field, FL from '92-'95. He was a very nice guy and a great crew chief. I was just reminded that he had written on the PAVE LOW website forum back in Sep '04, it was nice to hear from him then. Hopefully his family reads this, because if you ever need help with college for the kids, the Special Operations Helicopter Association can help out. Contact me if the need ever arises.

Gene - You will be missed...

Dear Sally, Teagan, Brenna, George, Jill and Laura,

We were so sad to hear the news about Gene. It has been so many, too many, years since I have seen him. The Becquet family is very large and very spread out across the country, making it difficult for those fun Sunday afternoon dinners we use to have as kids at our grandparent's home in Amarillo. George and Jill have always been proud to share photos with us over the years of Gene, Sally and the kids. Please know that there is huge family that is keeping you all in our prayers and even though we don't see you as much as we would like....we still cherish the thought of you being part of our family. May God's love and peace be with all of you.

Love, Becky Becquet Ball(Gene's cousin) - (The Woodlands, TX)

I had the privilege of knowing Gene while we were both assigned to the Paves in England a few years ago. He was a great crew chief and was always willing to lend a helping hand... even to us "specialists." He will definitely be missed.

Mark Bourgoin, RAF Mildenhall, England

November 11, 2006

Sally (and Kids), My Family and I would like to pass to you our condolences for your loss. We were stationed at Mildenhall the same time you were there, I personally had the pleasure of working in the Pavelow Flight as their admin/IT. Gene was someone we ALL looked up to. He just had a way about him that was a comfort and inspiration to all that came in contact with him. Oh yeah, he was a genius too! He will not be forgotten.

Rotorhead was a great help to many. He was like the big brother that has your back. If I ever had any questions regarding Folding at Home for BE he was the first and last person that came to mind. I will miss seeing him online, talking to him, and reading his insightful post! God Bless brother!

Sincerely, Duvie

To MSgt. Becquet's Family, I don't think we have ever met...but your husband/father worked with my Dad. Oddly enough my father passed away Feb. 10th, 2006...and MSgt. Becquet took over his job. I just wanted to say that I am truly sorry...and that I can honestly say I know exactly what you are going through. I don't think there is anything any of us will ever have to deal with that is harder. And at this time of year it gets especially rough. I do hope that you will find the strength to continue on. I wish you the Merriest Christmas possible. God Bless you all. If you need anything please feel free to email...even if it's just someone to listen...because I know how much that helps.

Ashley Couturier, Holloman AFB, New Mexico

September 25, 2007

Sally and Kids, I miss Gene. Even though we only spent our first 5 or so years in the USAF at Woodbridge it was always a given that we would cross paths again. I think about him often and wish I could have been present at his funeral. Gene was my first friend in the Air Force having met at basic training and having neighboring dorm rooms in tech school guaranteed a posatively enjoyable learning enviornment. Gene had a way of making tech school and work fun.

I miss you Gene,

Jason Thayer, Albuquerque, New Mexico

December 07, 2008

Sally, I just came across this site and I had to write to you. My name is Tommy Becquet. I am Gene’s cousin. I am not sure if we have met. If we did it would have been at Vincent’s funeral. I have seen many, many pictures of you, Gene and the kids. For the last 14 years Uncle George and Aunt Jill have spent Thanksgiving Day with us here in Corpus Christi and we always talk about the old days in Amarillo. We always play Cribbage. I remember growing up at Christmas we would have four or five games going on at the same time. The grown ups in one room and the kids in another! All of the cousin were real close growing up but after graduation from High School we all went separate ways. I have a lot of good memories with Gene and Vincent. I miss them both. I hope one day we meet again We will keep you and your family in our prayers.

Tommy Becquet Corpus Christi Texas
