Funeral services for Jimmy Don Marberry, 69, of Livingston, Texas will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Cochran Funeral Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. David Adcox and Rev. Brett Lester officiating. Interment will follow at the Sims Cemetery in Rocky Hill, Texas. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M., Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the Cochran Funeral Chapel in Livingston, Texas.

 

Jimmy was born on December 17, 1945 in Diboll, Texas and passed away in Kingwood, Texas on September 17, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred Daniel and Gertrude (Schoubroek) Marberry; son, Jimmito Marberry; brother, Billy Reed Marberry; sisters, Sally Elizabeth Nash and Johnnie Francis Wallace.

 

Jimmy served his country for over 20 years as a United States Air Force Fire Chief and was an honored veteran. To his family and friends, he was a true hero, a kind, gentle family man and a loving husband and will be deeply missed.

 

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Dane “Nida” (Soria) Marberry of Livingston, Texas; sons, John Marberry and wife Tamara of Livingston, Texas, Jimmy B. Marberry and wife Jennifer of Moss Hill, Texas; daughter, Janie Marberry of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Jo Ann Alexis, Vera Elaine Marberry, Kaela Michelle Marberry. Andrew Cole Marberry, Karolina Celeste Tovar, Madisyn Nicole Marberry, Isabella Ruby Marberry, Emeren Ciana Marberry; great-grandchildren, Noa Angel Lopez, Luciano Anthony Lopez; brother, Fred Marberry and wife Amelia of Liberty, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Pallbearers: Randy Birdwell, Buddy Birdwell, Freddie Lee Marberry, Ambus Lofton, Ken Helton, Josh Duff, Lucky Mills, and Dustin Young.

 

Honorary Pallbearers: the Men’s Sunday School Class of the 1st Baptist Church of Livingston.
