EDWIN "DICK" R. LINGLE

Final Flight on September 18, 2012

Edwin "Dick" R. Lingle, TSgt. USAF (Retired)

January 27, 1932 - September 18, 2012

TUCSON, AZ: Edwin R. (Dick) Lingle peacefully left this world for the next on September 18, 2012.

Dick was born in Zanesville, OH on January 27, 1932 to Ada and Leonard Lingle, both of whom have passed on as has his sister, Marlene Sooter. Mindy, his beloved four-legged sweetheart went ahead to wait for him at heaven's gate on September 16, 2012.

Living with the wonderful memories of Dick's time on earth are his wife of 60 years, Marilyn "Jane" (Rice); his children, Edwin, (Vicky) and Rebecca, (Mike); and his four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and Handley "kids" and many more youngsters he helped out along the way. Dick generously shared himself and his gifts with many and his life was blessed.

TSgt. Lingle loved America and honorably served in the Air Force on a helicopter rescue team during Korea and Vietnam and retired after 20 yrs. and numerous commendations in 1971. After his service in the Air Force he served another 20 years with the U.S. Postal Service.

In lieu of flowers, please honor Dick's love of animals by making a donation to the Humane Society in his name.
