Michael Handgraaf, Master Sergeant US Air Force (Retired), 69 of Greensboro was called home to his Heavenly Father on October 19, 2014 at his residence.

 

Michael was born in Racine Wisconsin on November 23, 1944 the son of Herman and Helen Gerber Handgraaf. Michael was a true "Fisher of Men" in that he loved to share the gospel in word and song. He was a 22 year veteran of the US Air Force having served as a helicopter pilot for two tours during Vietnam.

 

He was preceded in death by his earthly father Herman, daughter Elizabeth, son Steven, and sister Carolyn. Surviving in addition to his mother Helen is his wife Alice Handgraaf, daughters Sharon and Jennifer, brother Darryl and wife Suzy, sister Kathy and husband Al, 10 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

A Graveside service with full military honors will be held at 10 am on Thursday at the Salisbury National Cemetery. Sign an online Book of Memories at www.omegafsc.com. Omega Funeral Service & Crematory is entrusted with arrangements.
