We will miss Jim & his wit/humor, coupled with his friendship and passion in our Men's group at Randolph Chapel. I personally enjoyed Jim's leadership & selfless service....when I first got to know him better a few years ago at our PMOC Men's Retreat at His Hill. Jim always took care of some of the program details, like bringing the Lord Supper elements that we shared together at the end of our retreat time. As I was asked to lead that Lord Supper time during a few years, I saw the detail, passion and love for the Lord in Jim's actions. His quick wit & humor, and sometimes "jabs" with the brothers kept us all "on our toes". We pray that he is at peace now with Jesus & his loved ones. Our thoughts & prayers to his family. God bless in Jesus, Tom Blase (Chaplain, Col, USAF (Ret) & Family

We bought Jim and Susanna's house when we were assigned to Randolph AFB in the mid 60's. They were a delightfully gracious family. It was a pleasure to know them. Our prayers are with the Scarff family.

We just received the news about Jim. Charlene and I will miss him and our thoughts and prayers are with the family. We would make it a point to have lunch with him and Sussana on our way through TX back and forth from NM to AL. We were blessed to be able to see the both of them just prior to God calling them home. Jim is with Susanna and the Lord and in a better place. Good by old friend and RIP. We'll see you guys for a great reunion on the other side when our journey here is over. John & Charlene Flournoy

May the Scarff family find comfort in the beautiful memories of Jim. I cherish the memories made as my beloved husband Mark and I shared the pew with Jim and Susanna for over fifteen years at the Randolph Chapel. Jim was quite a remarkable man who will be greatly missed. With heartfelt condolences!
