~MEMBERS CAREER BIOGRAPHY~



Glenn Hunter

 

16 years USAF and 15 years US Army Reserves & Army National Guard.

 

1968 Sheppard AFB TX for Helicopter Basic Course, UH-1 Speciality Course, CH-3C Speciality Course. 

 

April 1969 assigned to the 20th SOS at Nha Trang and then reassigned to 20th SOS at Udorn.  Initial assignment at Udorn Flight Line Crew Chief on UH-1P aircraft. I was given a set of aeronautical orders to be a flying crew chief. 

 

After the UH-1P's were transferred back to Nha Trang RVN, I was assigned to CH-3 tail number 690 as crew chief. 

 

Later Udorn aircraft was assigned to NKP.  I went to NKP to complete the phase dock inspection of our aircraft.

 

April 1970 DEROS back to the states.

 

April 1970 - Sep 1970 assigned to Whiteman AFB, MO. on UH-1F as Section Supervisor.

 

August 1970 recieved orders to report to Sheppard AFB, TX. for Speciality Course on UH-1H model Huey's that were currently being used by the Army. 

 

October 1970 Assigned to MACV as an Advisor to the VNAF at Soc-Trang RVN on the UH-1H.

 

After another year was up I was assigned to the Eglin AFB as Supervisor of the UH-1F models.


After two years of Eglin I was assigned to ATC and trained new instructors on the methodology of being an instructor.


Later I was assigned to teach aircraft specialty courses at Sheppard AFB.


While doing all of this I got my A & P License and two college degrees.


After spending 15 years in the AF I got out and went into the Army Reserves and the Texas State Guard and retired with the rank of O-5.
