May 1975, Enlisted and trained at Lackland & Sheppard.

1975 - 1977 at Hurlburt Field, FL., as a UH-1N crewchief with the 834th Organizational Maintenance Sqdn.

1977 - 1985 at Luke AFB, AZ. as a UH-1F/P crewchief/ flight chief with the 58th Equipment Maintenance Sqdn/ 405th Equipment Maintenance Sqdn Base Flight Section.

1985 -1986 at Zaragoza, Spain as a UH-1N flight chief with Det. 9, 67th ARRS, .  I left Zaragoza in 1986 after my first wife died from injuries received in an auto accident.)

1986 - 1995 at Hurlburt Field, FL. as a MH-53H/J Pave Low inspection dock chief/ flight chief (and a dozen other jobs!) with the 20th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, 16th Aircraft Generation Squadron; later 20th AMU and 20th Special Operations Squadron. 

Served in Saudi Arabia (King Fahd IAP and later Dhaharan) with the 20th, Jan - Jul 1991 during Desert Storm; served in Italy (Brindisi/ San Vito Air Station) in Mar - May 1994 in support of Operation Provide Promise.
