I was looking up the crash in Durango of one of our MH-53s. I was on the crew (Medic with my Flt Doc, Dr. Sasaki) as we flew a C-130 up to Durango to conduct our mishap response for this crash. I had just re-enlisted after 9/11 and this accident occurred in Jan. One of the crew members on the MH-53 was a gunner and we became good friends after that accident. We all had lunch near the hospital in Durango at a small restaurant once everybody was cleared - don't remember the name, but they were nice and the food was good. I remember no one said a word for a long while and then one of the pilots cracked a joke and we all laughed. Some great folks flew in the 551st SOS back in those days. Thanks for keeping this history!
