I was a NAIL FAC at NKP 8/68-8/69 flying O2-A as both a military FAC and a SOG FAC. I flew as Nail 21 and as a SOG FAC as Tripple Whiskey. Interested in connecting with all who flew and am willing to swap stories or help recover those MIA. Thanks for your service. WWW

My uncle passed away last weekend. It wasn't until reading his obituary in the paper that I learned of his piloting one of the two H-19A's in the first trans Atlantic crossing in 1952 as noted in this website.

Lt. Howard Moore (Uncle Howell)

[Tried to include the URL but was not allowed though it's at rotorheadsrus.us slash documents slash 221.html]

All those times when our families got together summer after summer and I never heard about this. I was in the 5th grade when he retired from the Air Force in 1975.

If anyone has any photos or additional stories about him or his craft, I would be incredibly thankful if you could send them my way.

His obituary can be found at the Shreveport Times (unfortunately URL not allowed)
